1. For the money. Yes, you will hear people saying to you, “don’t study law for the money”. I personally disagree! Study law for the money! I mean you will need to pay bills in the end of the month so, how are you going to do that without any money?! It has always have been about the money and it will always going to be, so feel free to admit that to yourself.
2. For the lifestyle. Imagine that. You wake up, you wear your good suit (in which you look awesome), you get into your new Porsche and you drive to your work where it’s located into a skyscraper in the centre of the city. You have ready a hot cup of coffee waiting you in your office (which by the way has an amazing view) and you ask your secretary about any appointments that you have to attend. You have an appointment for later this day so you have time to start working into a case that you have taken. It’s time for that appointment of yours and it’s held into a good restaurant nearby. After that you go back to your office where you work some more in that case of yours when the time comes to leave the office. You get into your Porsche and you drive into a near bar where you are going to meet some colleagues for some drinks. Well that could be a typical day of your life. If you liked that kind of scenario you know what to do.
3. Power to make a real difference. You have the power to make things happen. You have the power to send bad guys into the jail, you have the power to fight for the protection of the environment, you have the power to bring justice for your client, you have the power…
4. Respect and prestige. Nobody will mess with you because you know the law and you can easily sue them, I mean why not? You have the power! Lawyers are respectable and they play a huge role to the functioning of our society. Without lawyers we would back into the stone age.
5. Plenty of jobs opportunities aside from being a lawyer. You can be also a successful businessman, politician, bureaucrat, diplomat, social activist or academician. You can do more than one thing at once.
